1. Who is responsible for your personal data?
Travel Croatia DMC, with its registered headquarters at Petrova Street 120 in Zagreb, is the data controller under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Personal data is information relating to an identified or identifiable individual. Processing includes collecting, storing, using, consulting or transferring that information.
Travel Croatia DMC has established Personal Data Protection Regulations in accordance with the GDPR. These apply to personal data collected and processed directly by Travel Croatia DMC or by its partners.

2. Our principles and legal grounds for processing
We process personal data lawfully, fairly and transparently. Depending on the circumstances, processing is based on one of the following legal grounds:
- Compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject.
- Performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- Protection of your vital interests or those of another person.
- Legitimate interests pursued by the controller or a third party, unless these are overridden by your fundamental rights and freedoms, particularly where the data subject is a child.
- Your consent to processing for one or more specific purposes.
We also apply the following principles:
- Purpose limitation: we collect data for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes and do not process it in ways incompatible with those purposes.
- Data minimisation: we collect only data relevant and necessary for the intended purpose.
- Accuracy: we take account of the need for personal data to be accurate and up to date.
- Storage limitation: we retain identifiable personal data no longer than necessary for the purposes of processing.
- Integrity and confidentiality: we use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised or unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction or damage.
- Accountability: the controller is responsible for these principles and must be able to demonstrate compliance.
3. How we collect your personal data
Travel Croatia DMC may collect your personal data:
- When you contact us by telephone, email, the contact form on our website or in person at our office.
- When you use our services.
- When our partners lawfully provide your data to us.
4. What personal data we collect
Travel Croatia DMC collects only the personal data needed for the purpose for which it is collected. You may request a list of the personal data we hold about you.
5. How we use your personal data
We use the personal data we collect for the following purposes:
- Preparing tailor-made offers that reflect individual or group preferences.
- Fulfilling our contractual obligations.
- Sharing data with third parties where necessary to fulfil contractual obligations, including possible transfers to countries outside the European Union.
- Assessing satisfaction with the services provided under a contract.
- Handling complaints.
- Complying with applicable legal requirements.
6. How we protect your personal data
Your personal data is stored in a business data system protected by passwords and encryption. Access is restricted to employees who need the information to perform their work.
7. How long we keep your personal data
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil contractual obligations and legitimate purposes, including handling complaints. Where processing is based on consent, we retain the data until that consent is withdrawn, unless another legal basis or retention obligation applies.
If the law requires a longer retention period, we keep the data for that period. Data that is no longer retained is permanently erased or anonymised.
8. Your rights under the GDPR
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights:
- To receive information when your data is collected, including the identity and contact details of the controller, the purposes and legal basis of processing, legitimate interests where applicable, recipients or categories of recipients, and transfers to countries outside the European Union.
- To obtain confirmation of whether your personal data is being processed, how and why it is processed, and which personal data is involved.
- To access the personal data we hold about you.
- To have inaccurate or outdated personal data corrected.
- To request erasure of your personal data.
- To request the transfer of your personal data to another controller.
- To withdraw your consent.
- To request restriction of processing.

Scope and contractual documents
These terms govern the booking, payment and provision of travel services arranged by Travel Croatia d.o.o. (Travel Croatia), including private journeys, transfers, excursions, tours, cruises and other travel arrangements.
Services are proposed and confirmed individually. The accepted written offer, booking confirmation and any specific conditions provided for the arrangement form part of the agreement and describe the services, price, payment deadlines and any applicable supplier conditions.
Where an arrangement qualifies as a package travel contract or a linked travel arrangement under Croatian law, the mandatory statutory protections for travellers apply. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
Travel Croatia handles personal data for the purposes of planning and providing contracted services in accordance with applicable data protection law and its Personal Data Policy.
Enquiries, offers and booking confirmation
Travellers and travel advisors may submit an enquiry by email, through the website or by another agreed communication channel. Travel Croatia prepares a tailored offer based on the requested services, travel dates, number of participants and other relevant information.
An enquiry or proposed itinerary does not by itself constitute a confirmed booking. A booking is confirmed when Travel Croatia confirms acceptance of the arrangement in writing and the agreed payment requirements are satisfied, unless the written offer expressly provides otherwise.
The written offer or booking confirmation sets out the included services, total price in euros (EUR), applicable taxes, any additional charges disclosed before confirmation, and the relevant payment and cancellation terms. Where required by law, the traveller receives mandatory pre-contractual information and the appropriate package travel documents.
Any changes requested after confirmation are subject to availability, the written agreement and applicable law.
Payment methods
Depending on the arrangement and the payment option offered, Travel Croatia accepts payment by bank transfer or through Revolut, Stripe or Efexs.
The available payment methods, payment schedule and any applicable processing charges are stated in the individual offer or payment instructions before the booking is confirmed. No payment processing charge will be added unless disclosed and lawfully chargeable.
Payments are considered received when confirmed by the relevant payment provider or credited to Travel Croatia’s account. Where payment is made in a currency other than EUR, the traveller’s bank or payment provider may apply its own exchange rate or charges.
Digital travel documents and access
Travel Croatia provides travel information and operational details through its online travel programme. Travellers can follow their itinerary and access the relevant travel arrangements, schedules, meeting information and updates digitally.
Travel Croatia does not issue printed vouchers as the standard method of service confirmation. Booking details and any documents required for an individual service are supplied digitally or by another method expressly agreed with the traveller.
Travellers should review the information provided before departure and follow communicated meeting points, times and other relevant instructions. Travellers should notify Travel Croatia promptly of any missing or incorrect details. Access to a digital itinerary does not reduce statutory rights or Travel Croatia’s obligations under the contract.
Prices and currency conversion
Prices are quoted in euros (EUR), unless otherwise stated in the written offer. The total price and applicable taxes and charges are disclosed before confirmation.
Where payment is made through a bank, payment card or provider operating in another currency, conversion is carried out by that provider or the customer’s financial institution at its applicable exchange rate. The amount debited in the customer’s home currency may therefore differ from the EUR amount quoted.
Personal data and privacy
Travel Croatia processes personal data to respond to enquiries, prepare offers, manage reservations, perform contractual obligations, comply with applicable law and, where there is a valid legal basis, communicate marketing information.
Only personal data necessary for the relevant purpose is collected and shared with hotels, transport companies, guides, payment service providers and other service partners where necessary to arrange or perform services, or where disclosure is required by law.
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, Travel Croatia applies the relevant legal requirements and safeguards. Information on legal grounds, recipients, retention, data subject rights and contact details is provided in the Personal Data Policy.

Changes, cancellation by Travel Croatia and extraordinary circumstances
For package travel arrangements, any proposed significant change before departure is handled in accordance with the Croatian Act on the Provision of Tourism Services. Where the law provides the traveller with a choice to accept the change or terminate the package travel contract, Travel Croatia will communicate the change, available options and applicable timeframe in writing on a durable medium.
If Travel Croatia terminates a package travel contract because the minimum number of travellers stated in the contract has not been reached, the statutory notification deadlines apply: no later than 20 days before departure for trips lasting more than six days, seven days for trips lasting between two and six days, and 48 hours for trips lasting less than two days.
If Travel Croatia is prevented from performing a package travel contract by unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances, it may terminate the contract before departure and must notify the traveller without undue delay.
Where Travel Croatia terminates a package travel contract in the circumstances permitted by law, payments are refunded as required by law, without undue delay and no later than 14 days after termination. Mandatory rights to price reductions, appropriate alternative arrangements or compensation, where applicable, are not excluded.
Unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances affecting the traveller
For package travel, a traveller may terminate the contract before departure without paying a termination fee where unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occur at the destination or its immediate vicinity and significantly affect performance of the package or the carriage of passengers to the destination. In such cases, the traveller is entitled to a full refund of payments made for the package, but not additional compensation, as provided by law.
Travel Croatia may offer postponement, a replacement arrangement or a credit towards a future trip, but accepting such an alternative is voluntary where the traveller has a statutory right to a monetary refund.
Personal circumstances such as illness or injury do not automatically constitute a statutory ground for a fee-free cancellation of a package travel contract. Other applicable rights, specific contractual conditions and any relevant travel insurance remain unaffected.
For a separately booked service that is not a package travel arrangement, cancellation, changes and refunds are governed by its specific agreed conditions and applicable mandatory law.
Cancellation by the traveller
A traveller may cancel a booking by notifying Travel Croatia in writing. Any cancellation fee depends on the nature of the services, the agreed conditions and mandatory applicable law.
For package travel arrangements, the following is the standard cancellation fee schedule where expressly incorporated into the booking agreement. These amounts must be reasonable and justifiable under Croatian law, taking account of the time before departure, expected cost savings and income from alternative use of the services. On request, Travel Croatia will explain the amount charged.

These standard charges do not apply where the traveller is legally entitled to terminate the package travel contract without a fee, including in qualifying unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances. Any amount due to the traveller following cancellation will be refunded without undue delay and, for package travel, no later than 14 days after termination.
For individual travel services and any specially agreed supplier arrangements, the applicable cancellation conditions are set out in the offer or booking confirmation and remain subject to mandatory law.
Complaints and requests
Travellers may submit complaints and requests in writing to info@travel-croatia.eu. Consumer complaints will be acknowledged and answered within the deadlines required by Croatian law, including the statutory 15-day response period for written consumer complaints.
