Day 2 – in Split, Trogir / Kaštela

After breakfast spend your day in Split. Enjoy a sightseeing tour featuring the historic inner city, built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace. Then see the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle, and the Cathedral. Follow the same path as Daenerys did, in a guided tour of the 1700-year old palace! The Roman palace was constructed by Emperor Diocletian and today is set in the very heart of Split. World Heritage site and one of the most significant and best preserved structures of the late ancient architecture.Wander the cellars where the Meereenese slaves lived, walk the streets where they run, come into view where Daenerys kept her dragons, see into the corridor where the Sons of the Harpy waited for the Unsullied and walk through the streets where the Unsullied Army patrolled. Split is also famous for McMafia tv series, Itsi Bitsi. Head in the afternoon to Trogir – another site hosting various scenes of Qarth is the Monastery of St. Dominic in Trogir. Kaštel Gomilica – located between Trogir and Split, K. Gomilica is one of the seven Kaštela (castle) settlements. This is where some of the exterior scenes of Braavos were shot in Season Five including the scenes where Arya Stark (played by Maisie Williams) is selling oysters from a cart. Return to the hotel in evening hours for dinner and leisure time. (B, D)

Day 4 – Šibenik and Krka Waterfalls National Park

Old Town Šibenik – known as ‘The Kings City’, is the setting for the scenes for Braavos, one of the Free Cities in the series. Old Town Šibenik made its GoT debut in Season Five when Arya arrives in Braavos seeking the House of Black and White. St. James Cathedral, Šibenik – this UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the site of the mysterious face changing House of Black and White in Braavos where Arya arrives looking for Jaqen H’ghar in Season Five. The façade of the cathedral is  unique, it has multiple faces around the entire edifice, thus making it the perfect location for the temple of the God of Many Faces. Consistently used in Season Four to shoot the landscapes of the West, Krka Waterfalls National Park is a beautiful network of lakes, rivers, and waterfalls that represent some of the most spectacular scenery of all Croatia, including the stunning Krka Waterfalls National Park. And Game of Thrones isn’t the most popular film scene here: long before Game of Thrones Winnetou was and is the most popular film scene made here. Evening hours are for dinner and leisure at your hotel. (B, D)
