Big Blue Cave Tour
Start your day early and enjoy a full day of island hopping by speedboat and visiting all the highlights of the area. Blue Cave, one of the top locations reachable from Split, will welcome you with a million shades of blue as you will arrive just in time to see the nature in action. The cave turns aquamarine blue when the sun reflects through the sea floor and decorates the interior of the cave with the prettiest blue you’ll ever have chance to witness.
Another hidden treasure just a few minutes away from the Blue Cave is the famous Monk Seal Cave. It’s an inevitable stop while exploring the island of Vis. This 160-meter-long cave is an adventurous paradise named after the Mediterranean monk seal that used to reside on its beach. Today it is visited by many tourists that come this way in search of excitement and natural wonders.
Another beauty created by mother nature is the famous Stiniva Beach hidden in a small narrow cove behind two tall cliffs that separate the serenity of the beach from the open sea. The first glimpse at the beach will leave you astonished. Make the most of your time in this location to explore the beach. Enjoy swimming and snorkeling, feel free to dive in and take a look beneath the surface – you’ll surely be amazed by the underwater scenery waiting to be explored.
Next stop is Budikovac Island with its wonderful Turquoise Lagoon. Fun fact about the island is that it is inhabited only by one person most of the year. This is the owner of a small restaurant on the island with an animal farm and a vegetable garden attached to it. The lagoon attracts visitors from all over the world with its amazing color that constantly changes from darker to lighter as the sun moves on the horizon. Also, it is perfect spot to do some swimming and snorkeling as it is relatively shallow and completely crystal clear.
The journey continues towards Pakleni Islands and the famous bay of Palmižana. Hidden in a dense pine tree forest and often filled with different boats and yachts, the bay of Palmižana is highly ranked among the visitors of Hvar Island. It is considered to be the most famous Hvar tourist resort and a perfect place to relax in a beach bar or experience the original traditional Mediterranean cuisine.
The final point of the tour, and nothing less interesting than any other, is the city of Hvar. Visit the old town of Hvar, the sunniest spot in the country, and explore its historic core with all the amazing stone houses, elegant buildings, traffic-free streets and inviting restaurants. Make the most of your free time here to get to know the easy-going life on the island, taste Hvar’s signature dish gregada, experience eating in the authentic surroundings of local taverns – konobas, discover Croatian Renaissance in the old house of the poet Petar Hektorović. Even though it’s widely known for its nightlife, keep in mind that Hvar has a lot to offer during the day.
A fun filled day out on the sea exploring the highlights of the Adriatic Sea will finish with a pleasant boat ride back to the shore where you’ll surely find time to retell and recollect all the memories and fun moments.
