What to expect
Tour of the Hermitage Blaca Museum
Enjoy your boat ride to Brač where you’ll dock on a beach, freshen up a bit and start your walk uphill to the prettiest sight you’ll see.
Carved from stone and built directly in a rock high above the sea, Blaca Hermitage is a true gem of the Brač Island. It is also one of Croatia’s most extraordinary religious buildings. An old hiking trail leads from a beach uphill all the way to the glittering white limestone out of which the whole Blaca complex was sculped from.
Originally used by Glagolitic monks back in the 16th century, this complex has recently been turned into a famous hermitage that attracts more and more people year after year. Once here, you can explore the complex, relax a bit, enjoy the view at the surrounding area and rest before heading back to the boat.
Your tour will continue to the wonderful Stračinska Bay, one of the most popular swimming areas on the island of Šolta. You’ll find this place just perfect for relaxing and unwinding in the blue waters of the Adriatic Sea. You’ll see it’s more than charming with a few rental houses on the beach and a couple of scattered boats – a true Mediterranean paradise.
Relax here, make the most of your day by swimming, snorkeling or simply spend some time on the beach enjoying the sun.
