What to expect
Travel Back in Time – Ethno Eco Village Dol
Start your day with a special tour to the mesmerizing Brač Island where you’ll get a chance to visit some unique, well-hidden locations, far from the classic crowded touristic spots. Your first stop will be Postira – a small fisherman village situated on the north side of the island will amaze you with its rich cultural heritage, its history and some unique legends that you might hear from the locals. The area is well known for the ‘hrapoćuša’ cake which is so tasty and unique that it has been valuated as a protected cultural heritage. Ask a local to tell you about ‘Macić’ and ‘Viver’, supernatural beings whose home you’re visiting – their stories might really surprise you.
From here, you’ll take a ride further inland, to the very heart of the island. Here you’ll find Dol – a place that will truly take you back in time. It’s a typical Dalmatian village, located in a deep valley far from the coast, that makes every visitor fall in love with its charming little houses, welcoming hosts and untouched nature that surrounds it. It seems that the best features of Brač Island decided to unite right here so that, conveniently, visitors can fully enjoy their visit. Taste exquisite specialities and homemade olive oil and wine. Enjoy the rustic architecture and the enchanting atmosphere of Dol before continuing your journey back to Postira and further on to the next location.
Relax on the boat until you reach the amazing large sandy beach situated in a cove on the northern part of the island of Brač, between Postira and Pučišće, known for its beautiful swimming area and unique archeological sites nearby. This is the perfect spot to indulge in all the summer activities. Maybe even use the sandy beach to learn how to play the famous local game known as Picigin. If you see locals playing, don’t hesitate to jump in and make the most of your time here.
Next stop is Pučišća – hidden in a deep cove on the north side of the Brač Island, this beautiful place immediately leaves every visitor breathless. Explore its nicely paved streets and unique stone houses with white roofs. Learn about the long tradition of stone masonry which continues to exist thanks to a local Stone Mason School. Enjoy lounging on one of the beaches and looking at the unspoiled Mediterranean surroundings.
